A HUMANITARIAN VENTURE
FOR THE
DESTITUTES
BACKGROUND
INFORMATION
Africa has been beleaguered by the
recurrent droughts, like famine and poverty.Cameroon is not an exception. Today it has taken another dimention for which everybody
is tourched.This enemy is not far from us, he lives with
us as friends but kills indiscreminately, leaving us without
parents, friends nor nation builders.
Children are affected indiscriminately, they remain homeless,and live on streets.
It is thus in this light SEPFO, a non governmental, non-profit and
non-denominational organisation has been
formed to take care of destitute children in Mamfe, the South West Province Of Cameroon.
MISSION STATEMENT
- Recuperation of Orphans and street children
- Lobby for funds
to support, sponsor, and coordinate the upkeep and placement of orphans.
- counsel children on health issues
and the parents on all areas of family life.
- support education and occupational vocational training of destitute children.

Restore hope to the hopeless adolescent mothers by guiding them to exploit their full potentials.
- Fascilitate the foster
parentage of orphans.
- Encourage apprenticeship and provide funds to teen mothers in income generating activities and
other self reliance innitiatives.
- provide volunteering activities.
ABOUT SEPFO
SEPFO started in August 23rd 2003, by Mbeng Elvis Mbi in Buea. The idear was
solicited by many youths who saw the need of such an innitiative to this area of the world.Also encouraged by SABINE BILAND
WECKHERLIN of Zurich RED-CROSS. it aims at catering for humanity especially the underprivileged
children.Thus in line
with law no.90/053 of 19th december 1990, the innitiative was legally registered as a non- governmental organisation
in
Mamfe , Manyu Division, South West Province of Cameroon.
METHODS
Creat housing fascilities for the orphans
operate a center that instills basic skills to adolescents
that qualify them for full employment.
operate a school to promote and encourage education.
offer free counselling on
all areas of family life.
Organise workshops, seminars and couselling to guide women in income generating activities.
MEMBERSHIP
Anybody acting in solidarity with children can become a member; irrespective of race,
sex, nationality,religion etc. provided such a person abides to the rules and regulation of the organisation.There are three
types of
membership, active member with registration of 10.000frs cfa and annual contribution of 25.000fcfa. Honorary
member with a registration of 10.000fcfa and annual contribution of 50.000 and above. sympathisers. who offer free donations
or help in any way.
FINANCE
SEPFO gets its finance primarily from membership contributionslegacies of internal/international sources
Subventions from development aid agencies in respect to projects summitted by SEPFO, Donations / Gifts.
